We’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join the team in a standalone role located in our US HQ in Pasadena.  This integral role will be responsible for supporting satellite US sites and the organisations employees in Canada, Brazil and Argentina.

Working closely with Tracerco HR colleagues in the UK and with the support of fellow Johnson Matthey Group HR Professionals based in the US, this role will enable both operational HR and help to drive and deliver strategic global projects. Utilising your prior skills and experience this role will help to develop the US HR function, this is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative business in a period of change and growth globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of the HR strategy across the Americas.
  • Advise line managers and employees on all HR matters such as policy development, recruitment & staffing, performance management, training & development, employee relations, communications and compensation & benefits administration.
  • Coach line managers to be effective managers of people
  • Supports the development and implementation of HR policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Sector, Regional and Group HR to implement the people strategy, including ensuring compliance with Group policies and procedures
  • Ensure the HR life-cycle of employees (e.g. payroll, salary changes, leavers) is managed on site in collaboration with Group HR
  • Work in collaboration with senior stakeholders to drive the annual performance reviews including talent and succession planning.
  • Compliance with relevant HR regulations in America regions.

Are you the ideal candidate?

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject
  • 8 years + experience in Generalist Human Resources
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel (up to 25%)
  • Experience of partnering with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation, organizational and time management skills

Desirable

  • SHRM certified
  • Fluency in Portuguese or Spanish
  • Experience of the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Experience of working internationally over several geographies
  • Experience of working in a standalone role
